Rosedale Center and the United States Postal Service invite you to Shop, Ship and Share this Holiday Season!

 

WHAT:                        The United States Postal Service and Rosedale Center invite shoppers to Shop for the Holidays, Ship packages at Rosedale Center and Share your support for our Military Members by donating needed items or cash for postage.  All donations will be sent to Minnesota Military Members serving overseas.

 

EVENTS:                     - Full Postal Unit open to ship packages, purchase stamps and other                                    postal supplies

                             - Saturday, December 5, 2pm Postmaster, Mike Larson will host a brief

                                ceremony recognizing schools and sponsors of packages for the

                               Minnesota Military Members overseas

                             - Appearance by Jessica Scheu, Miss Teen Minnesota International

                             - Activity area for coloring, drawing pictures and writing letters to our

                                MN Military Members

                             - Drawing for prizes held throughout event

                             - Coloring books for children given away

 

WHEN:                      Friday December 4, 12 – 5pm (Vikings Cheerleaders’ appearance  

                               12:30 – 1:30)

 

                             Saturday, December 5, 12 – 5pm (Ceremony with Postmaster Mike

                              Larson at 2pm)

 

WHERE:                      Macy’s Court Rosedale Center – Your one stop shopping for the holiday

                             season!

 

BACKGROUND:

Students from schools in the St. Paul area have been busy gathering donations of holiday gift items to send to troops stationed overseas. Area businesses and organizations are sponsoring the packages to cover postage, while the Postal Service is donating boxes and other mailing supplies. Shoppers can make a difference by donating items or helping to sponsor a package.

 

There will also be an area for writing letters and for kids to draw and color pictures to send to the troops.
